In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market in Tunisia showcased varied trends across the top 5 Android applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

HiTV - HD Drama, Film, TV Show saw a notable fluctuation in its weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 12K in early August before stabilizing around 8K towards the end of September. Its active user base showed a positive trend, starting from 22K in early July and climbing steadily to over 30K by the end of the quarter. Revenue, however, was minimal, with only a couple of weeks showing any earnings.

For Viu: Dramas, TV Shows & Movies, weekly downloads experienced a gradual increase from 4K in early July to over 8K by the end of September. Active users remained robust, averaging around 120K throughout the quarter, indicating a stable user engagement.

Netflix maintained a consistent download rate, beginning the quarter with around 3K weekly downloads and reaching up to 5.5K in mid-September. However, its active user base showed a slight decline from 181K in July to approximately 175K by the end of September, suggesting a minor dip in user retention.

MovieMania 2 displayed a remarkable surge in downloads towards the end of the quarter, jumping from a modest start of 395 in mid-July to a significant 23K by late September. Active users mirrored this trend, rising from a few hundred in July to over 21K by the quarter's close, highlighting a rapid growth in its user base.

Lastly, TV5MONDEplus, streaming experienced a decline in downloads from over 4K in early July to under 1K in August, before recovering to over 3K in September. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing initially but later recovering to over 4K by the end of the quarter.
